Get Fit NOW Gym, formerly known as Al Irish’s Shut Up and Box, is under new ownership by a couple of Al’s very own trained instructors. Our goal is for our members to get fit with No Ordinary Workout (NOW) whenever they come to the gym. Every instructor has their own unique style and every class is different, truly giving our members the NOW experience. We want everyone to have fun, challenge themselves, and sweat it out at NOW gym!

Here are some of many classes that you have access to by joining our gym!

NOW! Gym will hold strong to our kickboxing roots while adding more variety to the schedule. NOW! Gym will offer more AM and PM classes for both kickboxing and the additions to the schedule, including yoga, weight training, circuit training, cardio crunch, and intro to sparring. Train with us throughout the week with our instructing owners: Shawn Fitz, Avery Thomas, and Chad Thomas; and our NOW! instructors Phil Elam, Chris Hamilton, Ray Darden, Cece Cruz, Danni Baker, Stacey Tainsky, and Kim Thompson.

All Levels: Strength training class using super-set combinations of kettle bells, resistance bands, TRX, battle ropes and/or dumbbells.

Advanced: For those who have good knowledge of technique and are ready to push their body to the limit. These classes are maximum intensity for the entire hour. They will start with a high intensity warm up and finish with a challenging circuit and ab cool down, and end with stretching your body out to start recovery. Bring gloves and wraps.

All Levels:TRX is a bodyweight exercise using TRX suspension straps that simultaneously develops strength, endurance, mobility, balance, flexibility, and core stability. This class also uses kettle bells, resistance bands, and dumbbells to maximize the training experience. Come try this class and see what your body can endure.

All Levels: Learn the basics and fundamentals of weight lifting in an intense but fun 45 minute class with dumbbells and kettlebells. Increase muscle strength while creating lean muscle to create that “lean” and “tone” look.

All Levels: Get a full body workout and test your endurance with cardio and challenging combos on the heavy bag. All Levels: 30 minute cardio fat burn. This class combines fast paced interval music with circuit training for maximum fat burn.

All Levels: keeping it sexy to kick off the weekend with high intensity kickboxing. Class will start with a warm up and finish up with an ab cool down before stretching to get your weekend started off right. Bring gloves and wraps.

Beginners and Groupons: Get a full workout and an overview of all the workouts we have to offer. We have something for every level! Don’t be skurd!

Combines the flow of Vinyasa with the guided challenge of Slow Burn. The pace of this class moves from some self-guided warm-ups into long-held postures that slow the body, focus the mind, and work toward a well-earned savasana. Recommended for students who have attended at least 1-5 yoga classes. However, our teacher is very supportive and will help guide you through a wonderful experience on the mat. Prior to class, please inform the teacher if you are new to yoga so that they can best support you.

This class dispels the myth that slower is easier. For one hour, slow down your movement to delve deeper into the muscular system by holding poses for an extended period of time. This class is completely guided by the teacher. Should you find discomfort in your practice, you will find solace in the power of breath. This class is perfect for anyone looking to meet their edge. Recommended for all experience levels.

Special Sign up Required: Learn defence and offence from a professional boxer. Work efficiently through combos while an instructor helps perfect your form and technique. Upon completion of course you may participate in the scheduled sparring class. Bring gloves and wraps.
